I don't think they'll aim for the porch. Remember this is 30 minute delivery, not routine package dropoff. The only reason to order this service is because you want your item right now, while you're there to receive it, so putting it in the lawn or the sidewalk out front is as good as anywhere else.

I guess if you're the type of dude that wears a cardigan or sweater vest.

Personally, I'm well past the "My clothes make a statement about me and here's what I want them to say" phase of my life and looking forward to the "What's going to embarrass my kid the most when she brings her friends over" phase of my life.

Either 90s Gangsta sag or new millennium Hipster tight should work pretty well when that time comes.

I own a couple cardigans (one less since my domestically impaired significant other put it in the dryer), no sweater vests. Wasn't it you that wears white socks, or was that Tin?

I'm wearing white socks right now. It's okay though because they actually are from the 90s.

Re: Prime Air - Jakensama - 12-05-2013

And still white?

I always wear white socks. I dress for comfort and practicality. I've been married for 12 years and don't have to dress to impress any girls for sex.

Plus they go great with ed hardy shirts.

Mostly. I'm only concerned about the parts that show under my highwater slacks.

more geeky if you have to stereotype EVERYTHING

Re: Prime Air - Jakensama - 12-05-2013

Geeky throwbacks to 80s cartoons are hella hipster.

not when wearing white socks

I think of Hipster as being geeky and obsure, more Darkwing Duck than TMNT.

That's true, white socks cannot even be worn ironically - a category normally reserved for Nazi Uniforms, Ku Klux Klan Robes, and self-tanner.

Darkwing Duck isn't obscure!

White athletic socks on a skinny-jean wearing geek? Think of the potential if there were only a suitably ironic brand to wear.

I guess not exactly obscure, but it doesn't have three live action movies, one featuring Vanilla Ice, either. This is probably why I can never be a Hipster though.

Re: Prime Air - Slamz - 12-05-2013

The true difference between a geek and a hipster is that if the hipster sees someone else wearing that same shirt, he's affronted. He doesn't want someone who actually enjoys the Ninja Turtles to like his shirt. People are supposed to ask "What's that? I've never heard of them." The geek thinks it's awesome and doesn't understand why more people aren't wearing them and will talk you to death about various Ninja Turtles episodes and will tell you where to buy the shirt. Next time he comes to a party he will bring his TMNT collection in case anyone wants to watch them.

(The hipster has that same collection, but has never watched them.)

Re: Prime Air - TinStar - 12-05-2013

lol to all the above...

But as far as the socks. It's ok to wear white socks with athletic shoes that are lighter color in nature. It's not ok to wear white socks with athletic shoes that are darker in nature, that is when you should wear gray or black. It is never ok to wear white socks with dress shoes.

Trust me, in athletics(remember, I sell thousands of pairs of socks every year to runners/walkers etc), white socks still outsell dark socks, but the gap has shrunk. It's about 3 pair of white for ever 2 pair of non-white. It used to be 5 to 1.

Re: Prime Air - Zirak - 12-05-2013

The only time I don't wear white socks (assuming I'm wearing socks) is when I am wearing dress shoes. Dark socks go with dress shoes, white socks go with every other kind of shoe/boot for which one would wear a sock.

Re: Prime Air - Jakensama - 12-05-2013

So, no white socks with black Chucks?

Damn.
