Thats rough!I saw it, but couldn't have told you that it was Michael Keaton playing Beetlejuice... and he was wearing face paint and costumes and acting like a moron that entire movie. Pretty annoying that they are doing the Ant-Man movie AFTER the Ultron Avengers movie... Re: Geektastic movies for 2013 - strife - 09-08-2013 This looks terrible... It would be nice to get back to trailers that don't spoil the whole movie. Re: Geektastic movies for 2013 - Jakensama - 10-29-2013 There are pictures online of what they will look like - quite ungood with a giant fan in their chest. I'll see it, but low expectations. The more characters they add in these films the worse they get - like the disaster that was x3. Re: Geektastic movies for 2013 - Grieve - 10-29-2013 Ha, there were a lot of X folks in that trailer, without a doubt. Old Magneto, young Magneto, old Charles, young Charles, old Wolverine, young Wolverine, Kitty, Iceman, Rogue, Storm, young Beast, young Mystique, Bishop (?), Sunspot (?), and a couple of others I have no idea who they are. Plus Trask. I heard Colossus, Havok and Quicksilver are in as well.. Not really sure how they are going to fit them all in without the movie being 3 hours long. Then again, if it follows the comic storyline, they will probably
kill off most of the "old" cast pretty quickly.
Curious to see how they explain Rogue and Mags getting their powers back and Charles getting his body back. And if they managed to do all that, couldn't they have brought Cyclops back to life too? Re: Geektastic movies for 2013 - strife - 11-30-2013 Went and saw Enders Game(And Hunger games 2, but not sure that fits in the Geektastic portion of this so I'll ignore). Enders game was... decent. I screwed up and read the book again about a week before watching the movie so everything that was different from the book was glaringly obvious to me. I still liked it, but probably would have liked it more if I hadn't just read the book. A few of the things that I remember were different... and I realize that some of these were because it was a 2 hr movie as opposed to a book and they had to for times sake...
The movie takes place within about a month or 2, where the book is over an 8-10 year window. Valentine & Peter are such minor characters(especially Peter) and the movie never even touches Locke & Demosthenes The Hive queen was alive and on Eros at the end of the movie and gave Ender the cocoon. Which is stupid because in a planet where they killed all the buggers, she was living about 100 yards from their front gate. The buggers are called Fromic in the movie; the word buggers is never mentioned. In the movie they only use the Little Dr. 2 times, both times in the very last battle. The game ender plays, he beats the cups game on the 3rd try, where in the book it takes him months. They also left out a lot of the game(the children on the playground for example). Bean is in Enders launch class. Ender goes straight from Salamander army to Commanding Dragon army. Ender actually loses one of the "mock" battles against the Buggers... he never lost in the book To win the battleschool game, one person has to go through the gate where in the book you needed 4 to unlock and then 1 to go through.
Re: Geektastic movies for 2013 - Jakensama - 11-30-2013 Newer versions of enders game and subsequent books all use formics as the name. He claims he didn't know what bugger meant and obviously with his views that wasn't kosher.
