"Battle of Los Angeles" is the knockoff and is pretty lame. I think it was straight-to-DVD (I recall it being on Comcast On Demand for quite a while).
"Battle: Los Angeles" is the one that was good. It wasn't amazing, but I liked it. Has Michelle Rodriguez in it, so look for that name when picking from Netflix or wherever to make sure you get the right one.
