Bank of America is in the process of correcting a technical error that resulted in a subset of its customers getting charged twice when they attempted to use the new Apple Pay mobile payment service, according to a person familiar with the matter. The company expects to have a fix in place today for the problem, which happened between the bank and at least one payment network and did not involve Apple, this person added.
