While this thread is still floating at the top I want to add a couple of programs.
PG2 is a simple program that blacklists Ip ranges.
It is primarily aimed at blocking the IPs of known companies that scan bittorrent networks for illegal usage.
But it also blacklists known spam, virus, and malware sites.
It is 100% free.

Spybot search and destroy has updated their immunize function to have less false positives and more host file level blocking.
Give the new version a look.
