I saw it Wed. at 8:00 AM cause some friends dragged me out to see it. It sure as hell wasn't worth getting up early in the morning to see. They all thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I thought it was alright. It made me appreciate the first one a lot more, for sure.
My impression: Two impressive fight sequences lasting about 20 minutes total. 100 minutes of repetitive, cliche-filled filler time, where one-dimensional characters pontificate about facile, simplistic love.
I saw both the original Matrix and Reloaded recently, as well as the lesser-known movie Dark City. I think Dark City is the best of the lot.
Thinking about Revolutions as I watched it, I could only think how little I cared for any of the characters, or even Zion itself, and how much better Revolutions *could* have been.
