Well that's a reasonable point. A team of 5 people, defined as "human beings" would eliminate Jedi simple because while they look human, they are not homo sapiens from earth and thus not "people". They'd be aliens. It would also eliminate Spock although not Captain Kirk. I guess it would also eliminate Dr. Who? Time Lords weren't human, were they?
In that case, I'd have to replace Optimus Prime, at least.
Oh, I think with this restriction, I would take Samantha Carter from SG-1. Since Optimus was there mostly to provide high-tech scientific direction, Samantha Carter would take over that role. She usually figures out scientific conundrums.
If Batman was a problem, I could replace him with Iron Man, who is practically the same guy. They're both human, though. Just really rich humans with lots of technology behind them.
