Ironically, Human hygiene might ultimately be the cause of the next pandemic. Eventually, we are going to run out of ways or resources to keep re-making Penicillin so that bacterial strains aren't resistant to anti-biotics.
Or, alternatively, viruses mutate. That's the nature of viruses. Eventually one will mutate into something that will be a pandemic.
