Hello gang, I spoke with Slick Sundown who let my commiserate about the sad state of the pirate team on Antigua... today after a very disappointing PB where our team just sorta of decided to donate their MOVs to the dirty french poodles .

I've been looking for pvp minded people to group with and fend off the l33t kewl dudz from OMG amongst others... The other night 9 of them managed to hold the whole pirate team down at MT even though I counted over a dozen pirates milling round the dock. Even with a friend at my side I couldnt manage to fill out a whole 6 group of pirates to put up any sort of defense;(. My other server Bonny with no population did a far better job of reacting to problems and we were a pretty disfunctional family to be honest!

Anyhow, while I can't speak for all of Glastonbury, I think I could speak with the PVP arm of the guild (2 or 3 people on a very good day maybe in that we would like to group up with you all if you have a need to fill out groups or spawn off second groups.

My current guild is about 2/3 non-pvpers or people who havent yet realized that it is the main reason to play POTBS . But there are a few that I could introduce that would be happy to help out if you feel the need to call for backup.

So please add me as a friend and I'll do what I can to rally up help or just act as a wingman if needed. I tend to favor driving Hercs, and I have a herc heavy that I wont bother to field until I see an amazing fighting group.

Anyhow if you ever have a spot, need unrest grinded, etc, and need an extra person please give me a yell and point me in the direction of something to shoot, maybe we can figure way to start rallying the team. With a few solid 6 groups it's very reasonable to put up a good fight for the soul of the pirate team.

Sounds good... That is exactly the kind of spirit we need if we want to win. I just hope the rest of your members will come around. Even if they don't want to PvP they can still help a bunch.

When ever were getting up the contention on a port we need people dedicated to grinding up contention. We also need people out to defender the grinders from the nationals. We normally play the role of defenders. But sometimes we are down around 2-4 players from having a 2nd defense group going. So if you want to help we could use you. We can teach you some of the basics and as long as you can follow orders you will do great.

And as for as the PvE guys they can just grind up contention.

The other forum is an independent group of allied pirate societies. I just wanted to use this post from now on to get a few more people that wanted to go ahead and kill nats with us without having to discuss things.

Go ahead and register on the other board. If you want to just kill things and follow the purges lead then post your guild here and how many people you can field. But remember even if you want to do that, then GO TO THE OTHER BOARD AND REGISTER.

I applied to your forums to talk about PvP strategies. You guys seem to have things down to a science. If this is not the correct forum to be discussing such issues, I am uncertain as how to proceed.

My characters and society are on Blackbeard and from the sounds of things, you guys are solely on Guadeloupe. I am not looking to join your society, but would like to hear more about your implemented tactics. If any in your society have branched to Blackbeard, look me up (name is the same as in here), I along with others in my society are always up for PvP. I posted some of your videos and some of Slamz tactics from the PotBS forum in my society forum. The videos are excellent, by the way. Any advice concerning tactics, outfittings, ships, roles of players in a group, etc. would be welcome. I would like a way to access the http://www.pirate-code.com/ forums and participate in further discussions.

Yeah we'll see. I've been lecturing many people inside my society and outside that this game is about 60-80 percent pvp related even the PVE grinding. I imagine that once a lot of these people "win" at POTBS and hit 50 they'll just wander off.

I find it hard to motivate people to PVP (even PVE grinding) that don't want to, and often find it is futile to try to motivate them. Many times it is just a case of they aren't interested in pvp, and if you aren't interested you'll just never be very good no matter how much I prod.

So all in all at best I can provide a partial group if that much and is why I'll be hoping to help fill out other societies groups or support them. It may change over time or else I may have to beg my way into another society. There are some benefits to being in another society from which to draft more help, but all in all if only a couple are into the PVP thing, then I imagine the PVE players will get bored and leave in droves. I know I would have left POTBS long ago but for the pvp.

Yeah PvE players don't really have much to do in this game. Unless of course they love the separate economy game.

We'll you can try to get into the Pirate Code server. Tolzan Crimson invites people but he likes to speak with players in game though to determine if they are a spy or not. I would make a pirate on the Antigua server and message him.

Also we were solely on Guad, but because of the X fers we are settled on Antigua now.

I am a very active pvper and I group with a variety of people and join various vents depending on who is online-these groups include Kidd's Renegades, The Outfit, Tankards of Grog, and Outlawz. So mainly I am just looking for another group to party with.

I think we're trying to use The Pirate Alliance forums. I know there hasn't been much activity over there, but there hasn't been much here, either.
