I'd be tempted to buy TNA today (down 10%), but I don't have any cash. At least not until tax refunds arrive. So I hope the market keeps falling until then.
Breand, did you keep your VXX? The vix has been roaring recently, back over 20.

I still have it but it's still down 20%. My portfolio is not very pretty right now. And I owe about 13k in taxes so no refund for me lol.

I think this correction is healthy. No real serious bad news. The worse news out there is the unknown of just how much the fed has been artificially holding the economy up. tapering is still the major concern in my opinion.
I have some TZA but still in the red. Need to market to drop another 3 or 4 hundred.....
Might be a good place to buy TNA but right now I sort of think we are at the new ceiling area. Read a good piece 2 weeks ago on the S&P resistance of 1780 and if it broke that, it would be a slide to 1700. This was based on technical analyses. Sure enough we hit 1780 and boom. If they are right we will see another 40 points to the next resistance. Based on that the DOW would be what? 14800?? probably where it should be.

I just sold mine (bought at 67.08, sold at 85.52). I think the run today is overdone, and this Ukraine thing likely isn't over.

I dunno, you sold higher than me. At least we both beat the closing price of the day. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Just came back from a meeting, walked in 5 minutes before 4PM, saw the market and ran and bought some TNA. I sold my Apple to get it....got in at 69.70. Took a 4% loss on AAPL.

I was just looking at TZA call options.
Browsing Marketwatch, half the articles are saying we're in for a 20% correction, the other half are saying 20% gains for the rest of the year. I already sold off a bunch of stocks (and 1/4 of my 401k) a few days ago, but I'm going to hold tight to the rest. Buy some TZA October $20 calls as insurance ($1.12 each right now).

Sold my tza.
Looking at tna now. This feels like a standard october pull back, and it feels like it will end soon. Though, I still think themarket is over priced.
