We should do this like ebay. Slow down on the voting so that horseface also slows down, and then, a few hours before deadline, just slam it with votes to win.

CK, FYI there is a program called CCleaner tghat is a free share ware that does a really good job at cleaning cookies and ather tem files that bloat your PC. It even has a register scan that looks for hanging crap from uninstalled programs and such.

You can also tell it not to touch certian websites, that you dont want cookies cleaned, like the purge, or the hot toothless porn sites.

Anyway, FYI I did try to clear out the php and reestablish a IP but by ISP keeps giving me the same IP back. Odd since I know its not static.

Oh well.

How many day's to the end?

We're playing possum, lulling her into a false sense of security, and then the hammer will fall. Either she knows Bulgy's trick, or something else. Please keep voting, we just need to keep it close, we have the rest covered.

i worry about bulgy's trick. which of these outcomes do you foresee:

1. clara somehow gets a surge of votes at the end and wins.

2. margarita's bogus votes get thrown out or she's disqualified and clara wins

3. margarita ends up with the most votes and wins, despite our efforts.

4. margarita and clara, both having been found to have bogus votes, both get their votes discarded or disqualified and the person in third place wins.

I hope it's #1 or #2.

I don't want to see #4 happen. I don't want to see #3 happen, either, but if Clara doesn't win, I think it would be better for her to know that she lost because Margarita's voters were cheating, rather than knowing that she lost because her own voters were.

Clara isn't a pvp'er, and might not have the same sensibilities we do.

We've discussed that ad nauseum, the first plan was to only 'pad' the votes at the end if it was close, and it was only going to be between Eric and myself, Clara and her mother would never know.

When it became obvious that Margarita was 'padding' her votes by some method, and that winning just by having people vote wasn't going to happen (300 votes between 9 and 11pm on a friday night? Cmon.....) we then decided to keep it close and then go over the top on her the night before the end.

I am also concerned about both of them getting thrown out, but how can they say it's not a valid vote if it's a unique IP address? Who's to say I don't have 100 computers here at Khepra Inc, and I have all my employees vote for her?

Clara will never know, Margarita started it, we're just gonna finish it.

Just rememeber that most ISP's have a defined class of IP's. Which means there is a limit to the number of unique IP's. So Depending on your situation, I wouldnt count on getting 1000 IP's one night.

I have both cable and DSL. the house internet connection is cable; the DSL is just for backup.

on cable, I typically get the same address over and over. plus of course there's the disruption of having the internet up and down and up and down...

on DSL, it seems like I get a different address every time I renew (based on a sample size of 1, because I only did a release/renew when I was in a position to notice a difference once). it would not be impractical for me to take the DSL line 'offline' for a night, if need be. worst case I discover that I do in fact usually get the same address after all...

Sequential IP addresses are probably going to stand out if they do check logs though... like if I was to take my extra /24 and vote once from each IP on the last day it would look pretty suspicious.

we're pretty sure she's doing the same. so at the very least the damage has been done already on both sides, nothing to lose really.
